In recent months, we've embarked on an exciting journey of transformation and strategic planning, calling upon our members, councils, and stakeholders to contribute to the rebranding of our organisation to Queensland Country and the development of a Destination Management Plan (DMP) that aligns with our regional tourism aspirations.

We're transitioning from Southern Queensland Country Tourism (SQCT) to Queensland Country Tourism (QCT), a change inspired by our region's growth and diversification. This rebranding marks the beginning of a new era, promising enhanced growth and socio-economic benefits. Our commitment to sustainable and diverse tourism experiences remains strong, aiming to enrich our community and the experiences of travellers alike.

The official shift to our new name will take effect on April 22nd, with the visual change in our branding expected to follow shortly after.

Meanwhile, our DMP is taking shape, thanks to the valuable input received through recent consultations. These insights are pivotal in shaping our strategic direction, aligning with broader goals like Tourism and Events Queensland's Towards Tourism 2032 and the upcoming Olympic initiatives. The are now complete, for those interested in delving deeper into our strategic visions and feedback at this stage of the DMP process.

Further, our board has been actively engaging with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) to ensure our plans are not only ambitious but also in harmony with state-wide goals. These collaborations are vital as they ensure our strategies contribute to the broader vision for Queensland's tourism, particularly as we approach significant milestones like the 2032 Olympics.

Our journey towards a unified and prosperous future continues, and we're grateful for your continued support and collaboration.
