Already thinking about planning 2024 events? Here is how I sold all our VIP tickets within 24 hours. This past fall I was given the task to sell out our VIP Breakfast tickets with Ryan Serhant at our Sellit event in Miami. Several things had to take place in order for me to sell them out within 24 hours. 1.      Urgency. I started selling these tickets 2-3 weeks before the event, leaving no time for agents to “think it over.” 2.      Exclusivity: I reminded them they could eat with 300 agents, or only 20 with Ryan Serhant, making them feel special-which they were! 3.      Timing: We made sure the breakfast would start right before the event making it easy to attend. 4.      Price: We had to make sure the price equaled the value, plus taking into consideration what they were already spending attending the event. 5.      Value: Ryan spoke about topics such as how to expand your revenue in other industries, something he didn’t cover I his keynote speech. He also educated them on a topic they had never learned before. When I called, I not only brought excitement, but mentioned to them if they passed or needed time to think, I was going to the next agent who wanted one. When you combine urgency with exclusivity, it’s gold. What’s a highlight of your career? This definitely made my top five. 

Big thanks to MMGY Global for hosting another incredible DMO Mojo gathering in Boston! This being just my second year in attendance, DMO Mojo stands out as a unique gathering. It's a small yet powerful event filled with enlightening insights, meaningful conversations, and fantastic networking opportunities. In just a day and a half, I absorbed valuable lessons about our industry's successes, hurdles, and potential, all shared by passionate minds focused on our collective future. Kudos to the MMGY Global team for crafting such a thoughtful agenda, fostering engaging discussions, and ensuring every detail is spot on. (I'm a sucker for handwritten notes—they add a personal touch!) And despite enduring two full days of travel delays that turned my journey into quite the adventure, starting at 5 AM and ending at 11 PM three days later, every second was well worth it. Now, if you're not in the DMO industry, here's a key takeaway: While mega-conferences may have their allure, don't overlook the power of small, intimate gatherings in your field. These events offer deeper learning and stronger connections that can last a lifetime.

A week ago, our long-awaited event finally took place. 🙌 We're still very happy about it; it was a remarkable occasion.
